Awesome!
So, I work about a mile from Kinetic. Lunch?
EDIT - Damn - turns out we currently work in the same office complex. I work where Bristol dead ends.
Small world.
In reply to DILYSI Dave:
You work next to the Napa at the end of Bristol? If you turn left onto Belle Wood, then another left onto Palmero, that is where Revo is! Same complex!
ah, Ive always wondered about that place.
Whoever designed our Business Complex had to have been a racer...
...downshift to second for the left hander after the hot rod shop, shift to third and roll into the throttle at the overhead door place...
This is what we make - http://www.theraseed.com/
Im usually hard on the brakes by the time i get to NAPA's mail box, do a little trail braking, apex that MASSIVE intersection, roll back onto the throttle. I also use the driveway at the pest control place right past where Port City South was as extra room for when i set up my turn onto Palmero...
Just don't be one of those guys who runs the stop sign @ Bristol when you're leaving. We've had 2 people T-Bone cars there.
In reply to everyone:
Thanks for the advice/wishes
In reply to DILYSI Dave:
I dont. Saw where there was a cop chase, dude drove up that dirt hill next to Napa.
The metal shop next door to us does some work for you guys i think. Both the dudes are big bike nuts, always buying new motorcycles
Damn. I'm too late to add my "hell no...don't move to SoCal" comment.
Regardless, congrats on the awesome news! In for some Kinetic swag.
Coming to the Challenge by chance? Would love to meet you.
I find it interesting that you titled this as looking for advice from the GRM gods.
You told the GRM gods what you want and then by the end of the day that wish was granted.
Well played!

Very similar story played out for a friend's brother recently. Without giving too much detail, he's been employed for years as an engine builder for a large racing organization that fields several top-level teams and which recently announced that they were going to obtain their engines from TRD directly next year Of all the guys in the engine shop he's the only one who went and marketed himself internally to the several teams within the organization when the rumors started flying. Starting this week he will be the tire specialist for one of the top teams in the sport, one that's "chasing" some cup mostly in left-turning circles. He'll be traveling to the races and living the life many here dream of.
Sounds like things worked out a lot better to your satisfaction. Congrats.
Depends a lot what part of CA you're in. I like NorCal, as long as you're outside the Bay Area. Cost of living is definitely higher. We do have some of the best beer and race tracks in the world though.

Heh, don't remember... tiny little hole in the wall place pretty much right on the beach. I can go through my card statement and find it. Had a huge steak burrito with the delicious green sauce, they pretty much just wrapped it in foil and chucked it at you, then you crossed the street and ate it at one of the stone picnic table dealies looking out at the water.

HAHAHA I guess so. I'll take it! They handed me my employee handbook...
Man, am I in the wrong business. Congrats!
When the Conti race comes on this Saturday or Sunday (forgot which day) at 1pm, you will see what happens to me with the tire gun... , but i get plenty of camera time when the Kia crosses the line and the cameras are on us. Yeup, i was there for the very first championship of importance won by Korean manufacturer!
Just out of curiosity, what kind of schooling do you have? I'm assuming you're more than a self taught DIYer.
You'll need to log in to post.
