The same people who pay attention to those 57 channels and the Kardashians are also fueled by the likes of Bieber, Dion, and Nickelback.

Thanks for the help..............

As this thread showed from the beginning, there is no shortage of stuff we can all agree is berkeleying idiotic no matter where you fall politically... United in frustration.

I like it.

So at least once a week, I have someone call or come in asking me how much a piece of artwork (typically a piece of E36 M3, to be more accurate) is worth. It's not my area of expertise, so unless it's an artist I'm familiar with, I typically refer them to an appraiser...an appraiser who probably hates my ass for sending him all these idiots. The only thing that makes this more frustrating is the way the question is phrased.

Yesterday, I had a woman call and say:

"Yeah. Uh how do a find out how mutch uh pitcher (PIC-TURE, for those not fluent in mongoloid) is?"

Me: "Um. Look at the price tag?"

Her: "Naw. It's lack, a pitcher I found cleanin out mah grandmaw's house, and I need to know how much it is."

Me: "How much it is...what?"

Her: "Huh?"

Me: "Do you need to know how much it is WORTH? Is that what you're asking me?"

Jesus christ. Sometimes it takes everything in me not to tell people "Well what yurr gunna wanna do first is find ya a gun - preferably a rifle or shotgun, load it, make sure the safety is off, point it at your genitals, and pull the goddamned trigger to ensure you won't further muck up the gene pool, mmmkay barney?"

You guys should have seen Facebook in its first early years: No least common denominators. No snooping employers. No lurking mothers; no old people. It was a post-teen playground. It was an internet Eden. It was magical.

FTFY. 1990-1991 was great. Sure, installing linux took a stack of floppies, but it even usenet was full of clever people. It's been going down hill ever since.

Back when you were required to have a college e-mail address in order to sign up? Yeah, I remember that. It was awesome.

No global thermonuclear war, but plenty of trade wars and barren realms.
