Yup plenty in my market if you know how to look.Bought 3 miatas, 2 hardtops, roll bar, watch, 2 accords, Camry, and Schwinn on Craigslist in the past 2-3 years. Also sold an accord, wheels, couch, trumpet, antique vacuum, miata hardtop, and Taurus in the same time. Might be listing a miata soon too. All have been pretty straight forward. I've haggled down to 75% of the asking price and tend to list my stuff at about 25% more than I actually want. Have mostly ended up ahead on all. I've just ignored any email I felt could be a scam/was less than a full sentence/just a statement (ya still got it?/will ya take $xxx?). Never got upset when I didn't get a reply on a listing.

Got really lucky buying a hardtop for $500, got there and the dude straight told me (after driving am hour) that someone offer him $800 tomorrow to turn me away but since I was there that night "a deal was a deal".

Edit There were a couple things he pointed out that he didn't like and lowballed with $1k...now. I tried to raise with no success but was happy to see that rust heap of an Impala drive away! List on Weds. Sell on Thursday. Done. Less that a dozen crappy texts. One legit text that I figured was not legit. One spam email. One real call from another guy who might call back. All this cost me nothing. Bargain of the century.

And, this morning, they guy who said he might call back did in fact call to set up a time to see the car. Much to his disapointment, I informed him the car is sold.

All in all, my genuine customer interactions have been excellent.

All the scammy inquiries came via text (which really surprised me.) Most included some sort of request to click a link to go to a website. Some of the scammy texts said things like, "your listing is suspected for fraud, click link to verify" or, "you have a secured message about your listing, click link to continue"

I'm happy to get the scammer texts, as it means that at least my ad works for other people.

I'm sure the guy I bought my E36 M3box 200sx from was happy with the price and 2 day sale time. Helped that we lived in the same jurisdiction.

I just sold my motorcycle on CL. The responses were about 50/50 reasonable people to idiots, no real increase in spam that I noted, and the guy who bought it was very nice and polite and easy to deal with. He showed up when he said he would we had a reasonable conversation and made a reasonable deal. It was pretty painless this time.
