Cool and congrats.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for adopting those kids. I found out December 2020 that both me and my sister were adopted as infants. I was 49 years old. My sister passed away in 2018 so never knew. I have since found out and have been in contact with my Bio mom who has been looking for me for decades and that my bio dad died in 1991. Kids need love and care. Biological or adopted, it doesn't matter. To all of the adoptive parents that have responded in this thread, we may not know how to express it when we find out we (as an individual) are adopted but it takes special people to take on the burden of a child that is unable to be cared for by their bio parents and bring them into their family as a permanent part of that. Thank you.
Congratulations to your family. It is no small feat to do what you did, my mom had two adopted sisters.

What happened to the foster kids you dropped off?
Just kidding!
That's awesome! Exciting times and relief and all sorts of emotions, I'm sure!
I'm REALLY glad I'm not the only one.
On a more serious note- as someone who's been on the south side of the grinder when it comes to the process of losing parents as a child and not really being wanted anywhere you were, you're doing a good thing, especially for the teenager. That's rough berkeleyin' time and I can't tell you even now as a (well, I promise)adjusted adult what I wouldn't give for a little support back during those years.

We got him a stick shift Saturn to with a leaky head gasket, is that close enough?

Still trying to figure out if he wants to do it at home or school. It was under a LOT of snow this past winter.

Oh I bet. The price for those incredible summers I guess. Hope it work out either way.
Congratulations sir! We finally adopted our last foster of 6yrs in 2022. It was one of the best days of my life.
Being a Foster dad myself, I can only hope we get so lucky as to see it through to adoption. Congratulations, sincerely.
