He's telling us not to kids about Santa as if he were real - lying to them - and then later telling them not to lie.
My kids know Santa is a "fun, pretend part of Christmas".
The kid in question is a boy, and both a friend and a competitor for the position of valedictorian in the class.
If you want her to be really successful, you should tell her to agree to do this and then sabotage him.

Are you saying Santa is just a way to teach children thru a simplified experience that the gods of man aren't real by giving them an example of where, with maturity, they come to understand how preposterous it is that a magic man makes wishes come true but only if they are good?

I don't have a 14 year old, but I was 14 once. If this is the worst thing she ever does, then holy E36 M3 are you a lucky guy.
Not sure how I'd handle it, but I don't think it's anything to make a huge deal about. As others have said, sounds like she's gonna do well in "real life."
And as a devout capitalist, I'm really tempted to agree with Rotard; only problem I see is she's not getting paid (far as we know.)
