For the MIs-identified Land Cruiser comments, combined with some of the recent Toyota discussion here... my dad recently bought a 26 year old Land Cruiser. After putting a lot of money into neglected maintenance in it and driving his brothers brand new 2025 Land Cruiser (Prado elsewhere in the world), he is now contemplating trading in Mom's Passport and his Land Cruiser for a 2021ish J200 Land Cruiser.
I really wish I had the money to make these kinds of frivolous decisions. And while I wouldn't do it exactly like he has done it, in the last 10 years he has gone from a G37 to a Tundra to a Mk7 GTI to an E30 325, and now he's got that Land Cruiser and a Challenger RT in the last 5 months. All while having the E30 cabrio in my avatar at his lake house. Gotta give it to him, he's never really had a boring car.
