Yep, it takes 3.2 gallons of water to produce one almond and there are 1,104 almonds in a 3 pound bag so this one $17.42 bag sitting on a shelf at Costco consumed 3,533 gallons of water...that's 200 gallons per dollar in almond currency. Meanwhile, we get fined if our lawns aren't brown as berk leaving our homes maximally vulnerable to fire...the stupid meter is cranked to eleven out here.
