I got nothing to add other than it makes me very thankful for where I live.

Buy a P71 and some reflective tape. patrol your neighborhood occasionally. always park the P71 in plain sight.

@Brett -- Check out Garner/Clayton border along Cornwalis Rd.( or slightly west towards Garner ) when u start looking. My neighborhood isnt the greatest since the housing market fell( ie alot of renters that dont care about the area ), but if you go down towards White Oak shopping center, or back near 40/42 u will find some decent areas,

Not all of them have HOA, and I live 2miles from Hwy 40. My house to RTP is about 35min now.

Sheesh man sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place on this one. Does your job afford you the opportunity to possibly transfer somewhere else? Have you researched some new places to live that have jobs that relate to your skills?

I had a not-so-similar situation in D.C. but the feeling of "Where am I to go?" really sucks.

the county here is the same way (one co. only one to choose from) … but there is always the option to tell the to berkeleyoff …. and haul the garbage to the transfer station or the dump on my own

for the past month I have woken up at 4am for no reason I could figure out. It's been bothering me and I have a hard time getting the brain to settle so I can go back to sleep. This morning I was woken up at 3:30 by a loud truck (I am a very light sleeper) and at five after 4, my neighbor came in from work and slammed his car door.

It was such a quick and transient noise, I never heard it before, I just knew something was waking me up.

I can't wait to move. Next month (feb)
