I live just south of Chicago and have visited both areas many times. Just today I was at Gingerman for a track day. I think both areas, south, southeastern WI and southwestern MI have their good and bad points. I have spend many weekends at Road America, Blackhawk Farms, Mil. Mile as well as Gingerman and Grattan. I am actually looking to buy land in both places that are buildable to cover my options as a place to retire to.
