I can't say how much I appreciate the words. Really.

The days aren't getting easier, yet, there hasn't been anything 'official' about it. No death notice or obituary and that's messing with my head.

I'm so sorry. A lot of good points made. The impact of abuse can be deep and profound. There isn't always a fix, and what help that could have been was beyond what you could offer.

Sadly, the best I can offer is condolences, I wish I could do more

Very sorry for you loss. As the saying goes, "hindsight is 20/20", in other words, don't beat yourself up for something that seems clear now. You reached out and offered a hand, which would have been taken if your friend were actually looking for help rather than saying goodbye. Again, very sorry.

lack of closure can be incredibly difficult and leave you wondering if things are real and if anyone else cares. It's definitely real and is just another reason to champion her cause in her memory. Things may be quiet due to an investigation being done into the abuse, even if it was all done prior to the event.
