Well, I have been into reefing for a few years and i figured i would show off some of my crappy, small, reef tank.
this is how it started. a 10 gallon with 2 false percula clowns
then i got T5HO lights and coral
then i upgraded to a 20 gallon long tank
then I did a bad thing... see all those white rocks? they are dead rock and for 9 months i battled green hair algea because they leached phospates into the water.
so i gave up and used new rock and got a brand new 10g tank and here it is
Of course so much went on in that 2 or so years that I dont have pics for everything but you get the idea. changing from the 20g to the 10g took 5 hours and 20 gallons of water last night
Nice, I've always liked saltwater tanks but just don't have the patience for it. And I'm sure my cats would just see it as a new buffet for them.

I have lost a few cool fish to my cats, only found 1 corpse.... very expensive snacks for them... especially my helfrichi firefish
I had a salt tank for about 15 years. They are a lot of fun. I just don't have space for it anymore.
Looking good.
Good job on the tank!! I admire you for keeping a reef tank in a 10gal. That seems like a lot of work to keep the levels right and everything. Have you done alot of saltwater in the past?
In reply to mrwillie:
Nope, Started with the 10gal went to 20gal now back to 10 gal haha no prior tanks
If anyone in Tampa is looking for one, I have a 24 gallon nano cube that I am considering getting rid of. I enjoy the tank, I just don't have enough time with work/travel to really get full satisfaction. LED lights, rear fuge, corals , livestock, RODI system.
Never got into salt, but I used to do planted tanks with Co2 injection and a ridiculous fertilizer schedule. This was my 55 gallon. 400 watts of T5HO on this tank.
In reply to DaveEstey: thats some crazy power. and nice tank, I LOVE plantedtank.net updates to come!
So beautiful! Makes me regret selling the 100 gallon corner bow front that sat for two years, waiting for me to do something with it.
I have a 40 gallon with two parrot cichlids in my office - they are the most entertaining fish I've ever encountered. They'll eat from your fingers and spend hours moving all the pebbles around the tank.
we have a cousin whose husband got into fresh water with a single tank - last posting on facebook I counted ten 50g tanks and ten 75g tanks and a lot of little tanks. I added it up and told him he easily had 2,000+ gallons of water.
Now he is trying to sell fish on ebay - $45-$75 a fish?
Good luck with that! I've seen those prices for Frontosas and Discus, but you can usually find them cheaper.
I bought a 4 inch clown loach last week, and four baby loaches. Turned my 55 gallon into a loach only tank.

I like clown loaches. They can get to be about 12in long though. When I get a tank big enough, they will be on my list.
