So the girlfriend (primarily) and I (by association) are getting a new kitten. We've picked her out and will be bringing her home Tuesday after she gets spayed. In the meantime, we're trying to pick a name.

We'd been thinking "Toyo" when looking at boys, but not sure about that one. We've been maybe thinking something car/racing themed, or maybe beer themed. Here's some thoughts:
- Toyo
- Lotus
- Elise
- Miata
- Porsche
- Carrera
- PranQster
- Abbey
- Martini
Any ideas?
Sabine?
(this from a guy who has a grey tabby named The Stig)

I suggested that one to her. The girlfriend doesn't know who Sabine is. We agreed that if we got an all-white cat, we'd name it Stig. Double points if we can find a white one with a black mask!

Beer themed??
Like Hairball, or Spew?
Martini seems to cover both your car interests AND your fascination with adult drinks.

Call it 'Bob Costas'.
Then when you have house guests who are also GRM forum-members, they'd all laugh knowingly, but absolutely no one else would get it.
Elise rolls off the tongue nicely. Porsche and Carrera sound snooty, but maybe that suits a cat.

Just showed my girlfriend the video of Sabine's van lap. She now approves of Sabine.
Edit: She also approves of "Lancia".
the one here gets called "Lucifer" "That Damn Cat" or "Hairball".
Not Smudge, which Dad named it.

Oldsaw, just what in heck have you been feeding that cat?
Our neighbor has a cat named Abbey -- we call her... Abbey Cat. She rules. Seriously -- awesome cat. She's getting a bit fat, so we also call her Flabby Cat.

You have to let the name come to them. We were all set for tje latest kitten to be "Tesla" as she has electric blue eyes, we wanted a car name, and the other cat is Einstein. After a few days "Porsche" fit her a LOT better because she is very high maintenance.
Nibbler was the name of our girl who got hit. Best cat name evar.

The naming of cats is a curious matter...
As hot as Sabine's lap was, I actually like "Lancia" for a cat's name.
Seriously.

It looks like a baby abominable snowman. I vote for "Bumble" or maybe "Yeti". Cute!
another cat of mine that lives with my parents now was so close to being named Dunlop because I found her abandoned by her momma in a stack of tires.
Although that probably would have morphed into "Dunlap" considering the current state of her belly.
Most cats I know are named General Tso.

A friend of mine had named her cat princess Jillian or some goofy E36 M3 once... I renamed it Donut. So I approve.
Franklin Escobar Dante the 3rd (Call him Roger for short.)
I still think that is funnier than E36 M3!
Kitteh!!
call her subie because she's four paw drive
I'm with P71 on that - live with her a little and name her on the personality traits that she develops.
