If you really wanted to kill time, the Corvette Plant gives tours and it's just across the street from the Museum, if I recall right.
Well, I ended up getting on the road later than I wanted, and just blasted through with only gas and lunch stops. I've been to the Lane and Corvette museum before a few times, so no big loss there.
The advice about skipping the through-city routes was spot on. I took 271 (265?) around Louisville for smooth sailing. Somehow I ended up taking the wrong turn and went straight through downtown Cincy at 4pm. That sucked, big time.
After Dayton it was smooth sailing all the way to Detroit. The PC didn't skip a beat, and my hands aren't numb at all from 9+ hours on the bike. Big change from my last bike.
