Through the power of the internet and Craigslist I am quickly realizing that everyone's future is screwed. I'm willing to handle a little bit of poor grammar and other issues with Craigslist but these ads take it to far.

For the first ad, don't ask the seller any questions! He apparently is not in any mood to explain why the engine was replaced or why the car no longer runs. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/2304769643.html

With the 2nd ad, don't judge the guy to harshly. He is using the funds to pay for college. I hope his school of choice isn't known for journalism... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/2302834462.html

I've probably referenced the purchase of my bike about 100 times on GRM, so I apologize for the broken record.

That being said, it was a vague one sentence ad, with a too-good-to-be-true price, and an unbelievably bad cell phone picture. I should have saved it for posterity. I thank the seller for posting such a terrible ad; that way I could get it at such a great price before anyone else showed any interest in it, even after a few weeks of being posted.

I just got tickets for a free comedy show from my investment guy. Opening act on the bill is Jimmy Walker. I'll bet that Regal is Dynomite!

EVERYTHING ON THE CAR WORKS..

..IT WILL TURN OVER BUT WONT CRANK..

Putting aside for a moment that an ellipsis is three dots, not two, which statement is correct? How can everything work if it won't crank? And isn't crank and turn over the same thing? Will it turn over but not start? I have so many questions!!!

This is a question we try to get the right answer for out of people all the time. There is no clear definition in the automotive world as to what these terms mean, with regional variations thrown in.

We now ask people, "Does the car go Rrr,rr,rrr when you turn the key?"

I guess it could mean that the motor isn't frozen and you can turn it by hand, but that the starter won't crank it around.
