Here's one that I am not sure if it's delusional, or if it could be the right price for the right collector. And just a long time before he finds the right collector.

Not much chance of a "Fly & Drive on this one "

Well, I guess that's one way to use up a Karman Ghia that was probably mostly rusted.
I'm a little off here, posting an eBay listing in the Craigslist thread, but I think this fits the spirit.
2000 Mercedes Benz SL600 V12 21k Original Miles
Fixed price buy it now listing, with no offers accepted. How much?
One hundred thousand dollars.
Why?
"You may be wondering to yourself why the vehicle is not priced following any KBB or NADA values. The reason behind this is the 2000 SL600 is the perfect example of a future classic."
This is my own personal delusional ad. It's already sold, but I got some interesting responses from it http://lakeland.craigslist.org/cto/5556824153.html
The original listing is gone, but Jalopnik caught it for posterity, and hilarity.

In reply to RexSeven:
I threw that up in the hotlink thread yesterday whn I was searching for a vette "sportwagon" It's like 2 hours from me but 1 to many zeroes for an UN TESTED motor and tranny, and need of paint before leaving the property.
But this is my current CL fantasy. 4 for $50k
1939 wraith needs paint and put together, 1954 silver wraith, needs minor front repair, 1972 steel salon needs new vinal top, 1959 cloud new interior needs paint touched up all cars are right hand drive

Delusional Craigslist Dude said: I have a 1985 monte carlo with 61k original miles car is all stock, no rust or rot or dents on the body, leather top is in mint shape also the interior is in great shape to. Has all the trim not missing a single piece. I am asking $7000 obo
$7000 for a non-SS 80's Monte with a 305 and "61k miles". Not a Sport package model because of the bench seat and column shift, no gauge package, and missing center caps. Body does look nice, but that 61k could easily be 161k due to that 5-digit odometer.
Are these cars really commanding this much now?

It's down the $14.5K now, and destined to go lower.

Jill?
Is that you?
One of a kind find here... guaranteed to get looks wherever you choose to drive or park this classic mid-engine beauty. Likely one of the lowest mileage Fieros in the country. Starts, runs, and drives perfect.
1988 was the best model year for the Pontiac Fiero, and the only year for serious collectors or tuners. This Formula edition comes with the notchback body stlye, the V6 engine, 5 speed manual transmission and a fully removable sunroof. This car will easily bury the dial on the 120mph speedometer.
I am the third owner of this car. 8100 odometer miles are original and include almost 1000 that I have put on the car in the last couple of weeks. Likely this car has never been driven in rain, let alone snow. No rust on frame. Original paint and tires shine like new.
More than willing to answer any questions about the car, and I am open to realistic offers and or trades.
Asking $27,000 for this rare vehicle. Yes, you'll find Fieros for $500, but none like this.
No test drives without a written agreement on price and money on the dash.
Please feel free to contact me if you are interested by phone or text or email. I will not ship car until funds have cleared. Delivery in my enclosed trailer is possible if interested (rate subject to delivery location.)

Delusional...or illusional?
I like it regardless!
Quote: We do not know anything about this truck as we took it as a trade in! We do use it around the shop and it does run! Please do not text! Thank you!

So I ask them:
Do you know if it has a six or eight cylinder engine?
They respond:
No I dont sorry!
I hadn't even punched in anything, just opened for sale by owner and there she was.
1985 Toyota Van Wagon. 236,000K. 7 passenger, runs great, 5 speed, AC, Cruise, tires near new, cassette and CD player, very clean throughout! 2nd owner. I have owned it the last 22 years. The van was only driven during the summers by myself and the previous owner. Garaged during the winters. New state inspection. AC is not working. I have an extra interior and other extra parts also. In my opinion, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this van cross country tomorrow!
I'm at a loss for words. I think it's delusional, for a 30 year old minivan, but is it really?
an interesting development in the local craigslisting...
