Picked up a couple of Datsuns, the bluebird 510 wagon and the 620 pickup truck
Just got home from stocking stuffer shopping at Big Lots.
Wasn't planning to shop for myself but they had a display I just had to peruse. SWMBO is starting to wonder about me.
But I did find:
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Morris Mini
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
Pagani Huayra
And from Matchbox a Caterham Superlight R500
I found the Falken Supra tonight. I'm out of room on my cube walls. I think my bosses are starting to wonder. I don't want to put any more up because if/when I leave, the first thing to go will be the walls of cars and that will be quite noticeable.
Hi, my name is KyAllroad and I have a problem...... Damn you enablers anyway!
Clearly I like these little cars, as I was going through the bin today I was trying to figure out the rhyme or reason to the ones I choose. Obviously the things that aren't real cars are out, so that's mostly the ones little kids like. SUVs are out too. So were a '99 mustang and a Hyundai genesis coupe. Somebody might like those but aestheticaly they did nothing for me. Cars that look really altered don't work either and for some reason the Dodge Superbird (cool wing and all) didn't make the cut.
Things I did get in no particular order.
The Datsun 610 pickup (gave it to a friend today because he has one).
Honda S2000 (with mismatched wheels)
Scion FR-S (also to be a gift)
'67 Shelby GT500 (obviously)
1990 Honda Civic EF (gift potential)
Lotus Evora GT4 (cause exotic cars are cool)
And the one I'm particularly pleased with: a Nissan Skyline H/T 2000GT-X. It goes with my other Skyline and looks old skool Japanese cool.
In reply to KyAllroad:
If its a red s2000 with two different color wheels then its supposed to be like that. Or does it have two different styles?

I picked one up a week or so ago. The detail on that car is terrific.
I scored a super treasure hunt rrroadster tonight.....literally 2 seconds after walking up to the display at meijer.....
In reply to Lancer007: Yeah, that's all. It may get a paint job and gifted to a friend who runs a black BSP S2000. Same fate awates the EF Civic and Scion FR-S.

Maybe, release date is the 2nd though. I've not seen any but the sneaks are up here and there.
I promised myself that I wouldn't buy hot wheels online, so I got the FNF skyline and supra for xmas as a gift. However, It looks like the sellers shipped them in envelopes instead of boxes. Now I'm torn, do I pay for good copies that have decent cards and non-cracked plastic shells or live with the cars as is in there sorry state.
Ive been shopping a lot of hot wheels lately. It started out innocently enough, to help jump start my nephew's hot wheels collection I would bring him 1 new hot wheels every time we visit. The problem is now anytime we go into a store that might have hotwheels I am looking to see what they have and leaving with no less than 3 if there is a good selection. I bought at least 12 hotwheels last weekend.
Who am I kidding, I am doing this for me. They have such cool cars out now.
With all the recent castings of japanese classics, are the Mad Manga's popular? rare? I picked a 2015 one up on my first outing, I have seen them a few times since but ask since dont see many people talking about them. I like the style on some of the older ones too, more than the 2015 anyways.
I was trying to collect all the Johnny Lightning Boogie vans a while back. Never did get them all but have a bunch of them.
