I keep buying these stupid things. But my personal rule is that I will never buy a fantasy car - I only buy the cars that actually exist.

It started out innocently enough, to help jump start my nephew's hot wheels collection I would bring him 1 new hot wheels every time we visit. The problem is now anytime we go into a store that might have hotwheels I am looking to see what they have and leaving with no less than 3 if there is a good selection. I bought at least 12 hotwheels last weekend. Who am I kidding, I am doing this for me. They have such cool cars out now. With all the recent castings of japanese classics, are the Mad Manga's popular? rare? I picked a 2015 one up on my first outing, I have seen them a few times since but ask since dont see many people talking about them. I like the style on some of the older ones too, more than the 2015 anyways. I was trying to collect all the Johnny Lightning Boogie vans a while back. Never did get them all but have a bunch of them.
Mangas aren't particularly special. Iirc the casting is 3? Years old now- 5 total colors I can remember. As far as the old Japanese stuff- there's one hot wheels designer in particular that lovrs the stuff- so it gets made.
Got all 7 Star Wars cars for Xmas from the SWMBO that I've been dating the last two months. Star Wars and cars - she gets me already.

Yeah 5 different Mad Mangas now. Everyone was so busy drooling over the 86's and Skylines and such that I never knew they did something in bosozoku style. Kind of blew my mind when I saw it in the store.
In reply to failboat: Tell me about it, when they first released the red and purple castings for the 2013 line and I saw it in the preview, I freaked out. I was like HOLYE36 M3BOSOAWESOME! And I am quite happy with them. The purple is still my favorite.
Green Lexus is from a five pack, the blue carded one is a good one...the clear window version of that car has sold +/-$80 for a while now. Tinted is not as rare but still a nice piece.
Here is Saturdays haul
Nekkid elky, reverse wheel bread box and my friend ROAK'd me the cracked base impala.
I got the last Blown Delivery in the mail, I now have every version of the casting Except the Dream Halloween boxed one which is trading way out of my price range. Always happens on the castings I want to collect.
Has anyone bought a whole case direct from Mattel? Apparently its a whole case like a store gets. Right? So you could get a bunch of rare ones or a load of regulars. I assume there would be duplicates?
Am I correct in this assumption?
In reply to Appleseed:
That's my understanding, no idea how one would go about that though. What's one cost?
this is the surplus from shopping for my nephew. I'll probably keep several of these.
decided to dig out the rest of my stash from the attic and see what I had.

a lot of vans and panels
need to raid the bin of hotwheels at the 'rents and see what I can save.
My finds for today. I like this 6-wheeled atv thing - I hadn't seen it before. And the landcruiser has a cool color scheme.

Dang, that much? Last night I dug out my collection from when my son was younger and found I already had the blue carded one (tinted) was looking for doubles to send out for the GRM white elephant.
Most from 2002-2004 lots of IS300s, Supras, Skylines & Celicas. Bunch of Muscle Machines too.

Hell, I saw both of those in a check out isle at Meijer.
BTW, they make a nearly identical RRRoadster to the Tresure Hunt version that isn't a TH. It was blue and the same livery, but didn't have the spectrafrost paint or real riders.
Found some new case stuff after local walmarts being barren for the past couple weeks. Dug through 3 dump bins and didn't find the 599xx Super, but I did find the mainline.
