Budget $450-500.

Would like heat.

For Xmas my family is getting my dad a new recliner.  I've seen some at Menards but haven't sat in them yet. It doesn't need to be fancy but functional and comfortable for and active person in their mid 70s who hates the cold, hence heated.

Any go-tos or ones to avoid?

Thanks!

There is a reason Lazy Boy is not just the name brand of the product but the generic name for it as well.

The Menards ones are not going to last. They're fine for 2-3 years then they're going to be uncomfortable, if they last that long.

I'd be looking for deals on Flexsteel, Hooker, or La-Z-Boy in that price range.

I almost cheaped out way back when, but talked myself into a Lazyboy. It's 20 years old now and sits and works like new. I may never need to replace it.
