That sounds low for a fully charged battery. It should be 12.6+. 12.2 puts it under 70% charged. I wonder if you have a dead cell and it is over charged to 2.4V per cell.

Yeah that's quite likely what's happening, I'll check the voltage and try to start it in about an hour.
So I went back and checked it, down to 12.15V, I'd only ran some interior lights (mostly the LED trunk light) and operated the door locks since putting the battery in. I gave it some cranking in flood-clear mode to make sure it had more than the bare minimum to start, it gave about 8 rotations before I started to hear it slow down. Cranked again and it started in 2-4 as usual. Voltage was up to 14.1V when running.
