I've never been very good at it, but I used to draw all the time and I kind of been thinking about it lately.
mndsm has been doing some stuff lately as well and it inspired me to get out the sketchbook and pencils.
This was the first picture I habe drawn in probably 5 years.
Not perfect by any means, but I am satisfied with it. I had never attempted chrome letters before and mndsm was kind enough to walk me through it.
I really wish my high school hadn't screwed me around, because I would have liked to take some art classes.
That's impressive!
Looks like you have a good prospective. A little bit of blending would make the drawing pop.
Keep it up!

Thanks.
I'm not the best at getting the shading and blending. As I told mndsm, I'm either too heavy or light on the pencil, but I'm learning still.

Yeah, and unfortunately hard leads like crayola are a biiiiitch to blend. You'll get there.
Blending is not necessary. Depends on the look you are going for. New artists tend to want to smooth everything out and rub it all together. Use the pencil to add texture. Get some good ones too. Also, you may want to consider adding more color and layering to hide the white from behind. Great first attempt. Also, don't be afraid to toss something and start over.

Yeah, I walked him through bits and pieces, but for the large part, he did it himself though, I think it looks damned good.

I am very impressed. If you want to see not very good I can put up some stick figures. Good job! be proud of that.

As I told sbf, even van gogh started with stick.figures. its all practice.
So I looked at it again and decided to shade it a little more. I think it looks better. The picture doesn't really show it like the previous one but the lighter areas are gray, I wanted to mimic the light reflection from the picture I used.

I know you and I already discussed it, but the darker shading really makes it pop more. Looks killer.
Big thumbs up for picking up the pencil and paper and jumping back in. What you produced far exceeds my skill level.
Please keep going.

Enough of the self-deprecation already! Just keep doing it, looks great!
