I just received this press release. No, it's not the Onion:

Hi there – Natty Light here.

We’ve just launched Naturdays! It’s a beauty of a light beer with a strawberry lemonade flavor and a can covered in flamingos you could spot a mile away. We are VERY proud of it and are simply spreading the good word.

But, Natty Light takes everything to the next level, so we’ve turned Naturdays into a bright, can’t miss paint scheme for Chris Buescher’s #37 car for the Penzoil 400 in Las Vegas this weekend. The racecar is fully wrapped with flocking flamingos and the vibrant pink and yellow to mimic the Naturdays can.

Paint Scheme Images: HERE

However, Naturdays is a lot more than just a deliciously refreshing beer and paint scheme. It’s also an ethos about creating epic memories with your best friends. It’s a day where you and your squad crack some of these brews and let the good times roll. It’s the kind of day that you can’t really plan for, but it will become a story you and your friends tell for years.

So, Natty teamed up with former Colts Pro Bowl punter, Pat McAfee (a big motorsports fan to boot), to bring to life one of his most legendary stories from his time in the league.

Check out Pat’s animated Naturdays story below – let me know if you recognize any of his teammates…

***Redacted***

We love Naturdays. We think you will too. Shout if you’re interested and we’re happy to provide anything you need for coverage.

Thanks!

So, uh, who's going to try it first?

I'm surprised by the flamingos.

I think (but I'm not sure) that like cigs and Joe Camel you can not use "cartoons" to sell beer.  Yes, you can use real animals like the Bud Clydesdales but I thought drawings of animals (cartoons) were prohibited.

Interesting that McAfee would get involved with a beer sponsorship. And I've sampled it, would not sample again.

In WM the other night grabbing my weekly case of Bud I actually saw a case of these and wondered what the world was coming to.

I suppose warmer weather is just around the corner and if it makes the party more fun then I say Hooray!

Totinos, Pringles and strwaberry lemonade flavored Natty Light...   So that car's livery is basically a bad case of diarrhea.  Maybe it is pink because it is really advertising Pepto.

I like a good shandy or radler, but..  strawberry?  And Natty Light?  I guess the benefit is that it would at least have SOME flavor now.

On the other hand...  Anybody willing to put money into any kind of motorsports should be encouraged!

Why is it ok for alcohol related sponsors and not tobacco related ones?

I'd much rather other drivers smoke while driving than to be drinking and driving although I don't like having to smell cigarette smoke when I'm driving with the top down and behind a smoker.

Yes it sounds horrible, but not any worse than this:

Yes, that's clam, tomato, and Budweiser. It was horrific.

They are horrid, although clamato itself us great.

Also...... clamato and buttermilk is fantastic but sounds absolutely terrible

Clamato bloody mary FTW

WRT original post, they need to get Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill to sponsor them.

So, they took the idea of a raspberry Berliner Weisse and Americanized it. By which I mean they berkeleying ruined it, of course.

Well mass produced and marketed it, which is Americanizing. There are plenty of good US brewed micro BWs though.

Getting close but for the win it's a Caeser; Clamato, vodka, hot sauce, served in a glass rimmed with lime and ground pepper, garnished with a hot spiced pickled bean.

Apparently that's a popular drink in mexico, not using bud as the beer I would assume.
