how much brew do I need to bring for $20.17?
That's about 1.5 good bombers round these parts..

There is always a needed balance between quality and quantity, much like do you want more of a 'trailer queen' or a 'hoon-mobile'.

I tend toward volume... (starts thinking about where to source a $20.17 pony)
This is where it's fun to have friends that allow for the budget to be $20.17 worth of rye, malt, hope, barley and yeast.

What defines sharing? I've got some heavy hitters that were like 20 bucks for a bomber. I can share. But you aint getting much.
Last year I supplied 6 cases... then we went and got three more.
I believe I was sharing.

Wait, so let me get this straight- initial purchase as submitted for judging shall not be over 20.17 purchase. Meaning if one bomber is 20 bucks, it works, but I better have another God knows how many on hand to share?
I wonder if I can convince Bob to ship me a keg.....

Dah. Ashamed I didn't think of that earlier. This could get goooood.
In reply to mndsm:
If you choose to do so, Plus Griffiths is tasked with keeping the official beer cold. Since I don't think that he or Lon can drink very much it should work out
I'll bring a local micro and macro brew if it all works out - that is, if I can scrape the money together again, there are no natural disasters in the way this time, I don't have to restrict myself to carry-on luggage only (a problem I was facing amid the delays last year).
Also assuming there are no...unforeseen problems entering the US. It's still early February.
I volunteer to transport somewhat less than you originally supply to me to the Challenge.
As a judge I fit in the plying category.

How many official judges are there? Is this names in a hat? Blind judging? Do I know who I need to bribe/cajole/figure out the tastes of ahead of time?
(This is how I win things. I love technicalities)
In reply to mndsm:
you're doing this wrong, you want to bribe to become a judge. Heck with winning.
John and I are looking for a 3rd judge. We get to judge because it was my idea, nyah, nyah, and he does because he is a big Qasimofo
In reply to mndsm and aussieMFNmg:
I think the two static judges (Aussie and I) should be joined by three others. A GRM competitor, a wreck from Georgia Tech and a Suddard...
What say the hive?

In reply to captdownshift:
I'm willing to be judge if requested. However I suspect there may be more qualified than me. I know of at least two forum goers that are more qualified due to brewery time than me.
I feel like BeerBaron has an advantage in this competition.

Even worse if he ends up taking the florida brewing gig. There is nothing better in this world than beer fresh out of the finishing tank, pre keg.
In reply to mndsm:
Yes there is, barrel aging it.
