Pretty. I'm trying to convince my wife that her DSG Alltrack needs a DAZA swap.
We are getting another dog in February. The Ridgeline was already a bit cramped with 4 humans and 1 dog. No way a 2nd dog would fit. SWMBO will probably never let me replace her Ridgeline so I was looking for a cheap Tahoe/Expedition/Armada etc. Unfortunately, everything I was finding was rusty or 200k+ miles or some other combination of completely used up. This 2008 Taurus X popped up on marketplace last week in surprisingly good condition so I bought it. I was never a huge fan of these but it's grown on me quite a bit in the last week.

We had a 2008 Taurus X AWD wagon for a few years immediately post-babies. I loved that thing. Sure it's a big American car, but it's got Volvo S80 DNA and it handles like it. It was far tighter and better handling than any American truck like thing I'd had before. It got reasonable gas mileage and was decently powerful. As it aged, it broke a spring in the rear at an inopportune time (right before a road trip with the kids) and in investigating it I found it had some rust forming underneath. In a fit of frustration I bought a Grand Caravan and took the road trip in that. I ended up fixing the Taurus X and selling it on, but have missed it and the AWD from time to time. The Grand Caravan has been good to us and is definitely roomier, but the Taurus was more satisfying to drive. All that to say: I think you'll like it!!

I had a 528it sport and it was so good
until it wasn't.
Drove my Audi Allroad from KC to Phoenix and back 2 weeks ago - loaded pretty good on the way out, empty coming back. Seemed like I drove 80-82 on the cruise control the whole way. Got 35 mpg going out and 33 coming back probably because it was super cold on the trip home.
The seats were great, the car is quiet and smooth and in fact on the trip home I drove from Tucumcari to Tulsa, then home.....12 hours behind the wheel and tho I was tired, I wasn't beat up.
1959 Chevy wagon. Guy calls it a Nomad, but it's a 4 door.
I'm in Tokyo for work, which is always a treat, and so love the ubiquitous Toyota Crown taxis, but I delightfully stopped in my tracks when I saw this today.

Chevy still called their top trim level station wagon a Nomad in 1959. Factory brochure link
Ooooof, that Volvo is so sweet! What the f is that doing as a taxi in Tokyo?! So clean too. Hard to believe in a city like that.
