Never driven one...but am curious. I sorta like penalty box cars. Nothing to break!

I do agree with the Journey. That thing is a box of cheap ABS plastic on 4 wheels. About as inspiring as driving a dumptruck without AC in inner city rush hour traffic in July.

Especially when they are that gawdawful metallic pink

Nissan has that exact same color for the Micra. I think a large batch was made in an industrial accident and sold off dirt cheap.

They're not THAT bad, but compared to most modern cars they're several steps behind. I test drove them two or three times and it felt like I was driving a brand new economy car circa 1997. It started, stopped, steered with no drama. Shifter was rubbery, but what would you expect? Had enough comfort to sit in tolerably...auto climate control, power windows/locks, stereo good enough to hear fine, etc... Engine was buzzy under hard acceleration, but again, what do you expect? Cruised the highway just fine, though it felt as small as it is. Dealer offered a fully loaded one to me for just over $11k. If you MUST have a brand new car, it'll do the trick just fine. But for $11k, I'd rather have a very lightly used Civic, Elantra or even the mega bland Corolla.

This may or may not have any actual bearing on the cars themselves, but 98% of the time, when a driver is operating their vehicle in a head-in-anus sort of way, they're piloting a PT cruiser (I know, I know, not for sale NEW today) or a Hyundai crossover (either of them, and ARE for sale today). The capacity for human communication has not yet evolved to a point where it is possible for me to convey the infinite depth, or the distilled purity of guttural rage which I harbor for those damned abominations, or their drivers, to another living creature.

IF you think it's unacceptable now, wait until you have to replace $1500 worth of control arms to fix the mysterious migrating squeak these develop

I am probably going to get thrown out of here, 3 years ago my Wife and I test drove a brand new Nissan Altima, and it felt like driving a 1980's Buick. The term Sporty and "Ride of your life" commercial kept on coming up and tagged, and I was in utter disbelieve. we even drove the Rogue and that felt more sporty....

I think I even started a whole thread on this. Other than the Evos, I have known very few people in the last 15 years who bought a Mitsubishi if they had any other financial option at all.

Somehow those Nissan vans were picked by the city of NY to be the Taxi Of The Future and taxi drivers are all supposed to replace their fleets with them. One guy told me it was the worst thing he drove that didn't have a yak in front of it.

Ok. another minor confession. I agree the car is awful but i think I like that pink

I'll take the pink over another shade of silver. They still have the Chrysler 200 for sale. That is a rolling mess. I also have to say that the Cherokee is a train wreck. Horrible seats, gutless base motor, 9 speed transmission always 2-3 gears away from the right gear.

Are Mirages REALLY that awful? I think you can still get it with a manual tranny, that can't be all bad. I saw them lined up in front of the Mitsu dealer and they only other time I think I ever saw a lineup that colorful was back in 2006 at a Lotus dealer.

2014 versa note. It's a great, if totally basic car. Literally no options. Mannual windows locks and transmission. Sometimes needs gas. Thrashy loud engine. Suspension thats extremely unforgiving at the limit.

It's a great car. Power windows and locks and I'd want another. I wanna stick some rivals on it and go compete for last place at autox.
