Aside from having a projector lens just hanging out in front of a bulb, the reflector portion is painted black!

But they look so good on my rice dude and the black matches the carbon fiber sticker on the hood not to mention the extra power they send to the engine Yo

Wrong. Projection lenses need a reflector bowl to work properly.
Simply look at a bosch e46 projector and you can see even they have reflectors :)
They might not project light very well but if you look at them the magnifying glass in front of the bulb will make them look bright as hell ;)
Why do you say they won't reflect well? That black is highly reflective. Maybe not as effective as a chrome reflector, but it looks 10x better.

My mistake-I looked at the original post and assumed they were more like the Bosch setup you pictured with their own bowl, just stuck in the middle of a normal headlight housing. I assumed enough quality that they wouldn't try to use a normal headlight housing to emulate a projector bulb setup. So much for assumptions!
I think even without the reflectors being blacked out.. you are still losing light with that set up. It's like the man said, there's a sucker born every second
hmmmmmmm, granddaddie to the beemer lamps........
These are Hella DE2000..... they offer GREAT lighting, with a SHARP cutoff to keep the light on the road, and not in others eyes.
The DE2000s led to Hella and BMW continuing development and fitting them into the 3 series
