Didn't see one of these threads and thought it would be cool to start. If it exists please direct me to it; a few Google searches brought nothing up.

Today I learned the first internal Combustion engine powered vehicle was produced in 1885, called a Daimler Reitwagen, and looked like this:

I learned that if you multiply nine by any whole number (except zero), and repeatedly add the digits of the answer until it's just one digit, you will end up with nine: 2 × 9 = 18 (1 + 8 = 9)

Today I learned how much product can be ejected from a broken high pressure sewage forced main, and how rapidly someone can be covered in it.

I also learned how quickly I can disconnect a pump when there is absolutely nothing whatsoever I care about other than getting said pump disconnected.

As you should be.. Everyone knows for that you should use Wolfram Alpha. Then you can do handy conversions with that data, like "humans worth of blood in lake Michigan."
