Always better after seeing a post from you!
Only a monster demands compensation for military and humanitarian aid.
You do not owe us anything. Everything we give we give because it is the right thing to do.
We help because you are worth it.
All,
I was a bit heated after the press conference last night so I didn't post on here. I made a wishlist for our drone team if you want to hrlp fill this 4x4, or maybe if you wanted to share with anyone looking to help.
I'm in the parking lot waiting for the truck as I type this. Should be here in 8 minutes. I'll post our Easter Fundraiser when I get back to the house.

100%, man. Right now I'm thankful for healthy outlets for my anxiety. Younger me would have probably broken things.
Which reminds me. We got da truck!!!!
Our Children's fundraiser is currently under review by GoFundMe. The very second it is approved, i'll post it here so we can all share.
Thanks everyone. Lot's of updates from last night. I'll probably keep them on backlog until I'm in Germany to catch up, but we've had the volume up to 11 here at the Hungary house.
Of note. The 4x4 has a name. I'll explain later, but here's a teaser:
So, guys, i was on an urgent business trip this week
but the work behind the scenes was still going on - moms and kids fund got another 100$ (Thanks!!!), messages from the moms about what the kids need are received (diapers and baby food)
so, in the next couple days, everything will be delivered and three babies will be supported by us
We don't stop!!! never!!!
Hey everyone, couple updates for you all on this fine Monday morning!
First up, we had a bit of cash hit our accounts over the weekend.
In our YAHOO paypal account we have $140.26. This is in addition to the $180 we have sitting in my bank account that was left over from the purchase of the truck and THAT is in addition to the 60,000huf I have in my hand for the purchase of oil, filters, and consumables for the truck. We're still waiting to see what the requirements are going to be as far as registration goes. Specifically we need to know if the vehicle has to be in my name for transport to Ukraine and what (if anything) beyond the compulsory insurance will be required. Tick-tock and all that, but we're working on it.
In our GMAIL paylap account, we have $50 sent to us to help with VikkiDp's Mothers and Babys fund.
Thank you guys TONS for all of that!
From me to you, here's the first look at the frame rot. Youtube wont let me embed it (I suspect because it is a "short") but this is what we're up against

This morning's progress:
It's progress, but not as much as I was hoping for. I'll probably go back at it tonight after I put the kids to bed.
Good times
Of note. Our GoFundMe is currently stuck in purgatory. I have no idea what's going on, but I've been checking it daily with no perceptible change in status. I'll turn up the volume on that this evening. Until then, this is no time to sit idle. With Yaroslav's 4x4 funded and undergoing its welding, I'm going to peel off his remaining funds for use on the vehicle or to get accessories for the vehicle. With that in mind, I'm going to crank our efforts up to 11 and open a fund to get Dr. Julia a similar vehicle.

I know it's a lot, but we have time on our side with this one. I'll post our Easter Children's fundraiser just as soon as I possibly can.
Good times, guys. Make sure you're taking care of yourselves out there.
Hi guys!!!
Ooofff, we took a really high speed
Today i have a question for you, guys
Someone of you might remember Sergei
He was in the UA army almost a year and we helped him with some stuff (thanks everyone involved)
his health declined due to his service and he was retired
Yesterday he asked me if we could help him with some meds - he needs to have treatment at least once a year to support his health.
So, guys, if you don't mind i could use the moms and kids fund to help him out a little bit
Here's my question
the second thing - diapers and baby formula are on their way to their little recipients
Have a good time everyone!!!
In reply to VikkiDp :
"high speed" indeed
Good morning, Vikki! From me personally, I never have a problem with getting Sergei the help he needs.
Everyone,
Still no luck with the GoFundMe. They say that 5-days is now the norm for reviewing these fundraisers, so we just have to wait. I'm unsure if that's 5-business days, or just 120 hours... Fingers still crossed.
Quick and dirty today, here is our frame update. I meant to pull an all nighter, but zonked out. Even still, I was out and at it before 3am so not a total loss:
Ok, regarding the welding issues. This is 100% something a stick welder would fix and I'm sure that there are a 200 out of the 200 people that live in my village that have one laying around, but I called a good buddy of mine who agreed to try to attack it with his MiG welder before we put the call out for farmer support.
Regardless of how that turns out, I was also in conversation with a very skilled GRM welder and it was agreed that I:
1) Need to put together a stinger for this beast so I can stick weld when needed.
2) need to drill two large holes in our patch and plug weld it back up.
Honestly, the idea of doing#2 scares the carp out of me and I'm not even sure we have the time to do so if I wanted to.
More to follow.
Today's progress:
The truck is with a friend. He'll spend the next 4 weeks welding up those patches. It's odd not seeing the truck in it's spot, but it was nice getting a good nights sleep for once.
So, before I give this next bit of update I thought I'd explain the name behind the truck.
There's a man on the Kyiv Independent's discord server that has previously donated an Eco-Flow power supply to Dr. Julia, and then went and donated somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000 towards Yaroslav's truck. He goes by the name "Arctic Raven".
A very large part of my family (not myself nor my brother though) are Alaskan Native. Tlingit to be exact. In the stories we've heard growing up, the world began as a cold and dark place. The stories vary slightly, but the gods kept the sun for themselves. The one part they agree on was that it was Raven that stole the sun and brought it to Earth that allowed the first day to begin for mankind. I thought the name "Raven" fit as this truck would be a light in the darkness for the troops that have so desperately needed it for so long.
With that, and speaking of "light in the darkness": You're all aware of the political decisions being made and the implications it's going to have for our friends that we've been supporting. Some people (a LOT of people) are very upset by this.
Well... What you may not know is that we've just collected over $10,000 for the purchase of Dr. Julia's truck in less than 24-hours.
Message. Received!
I don't know how one person is going to drive multiple vehicles in. I know VikkiDp has already offered and we may need to take her up on that. I don't know how we're going to purchase and prep a second vehicle when the one we have still needs welding and I'll be away for the entire month. I don't even know how we're going to organize transport for us to get back from the front after we drop these off!
I don't know a lot of things right now, but it's very obvious to me (to US!) that you absolutely do not want us waiting to get Dr. Julia her 4x4. So that's exactly what we're going to do.
The members of this forum funded this. We're going to need a name for this rig (I was thinking "Olga's Revenge", but it didn't seem fitting for a med evac vehcile...), we're going to need some ideas for accessories, and hell! We're going to need to find a vehicle in the first place! Jump in with anything you got, because we're literally flying by the seat of our pants here.
Tomorrow I have a meeting with the Pickup4Ukraine folks. They want to help. I'll keep you posted as we know more.
Keep giving them absolute hell for us, guys. \m/

I'm no good with naming vehicles, but rest assured that many of us stateside are upset with the current political situation as well...hopefully things will work out in the end.
Is using a towbar to pull one vehicle with the other a possibility?
I'm sure I've missed it, but what's the paypal gmail address? GFM is fine but does take a cut. I'd be happy to donate but would rather it go straight to you.
There's a chance I'll be in the area in October. If it works out, would you like a hand?

*us, sir. No way would this be possible without the million invisible helping hands that are constantly working to keep this effort moving. Thank you for being out there and doing what you do

A trailer might be, but I'm not certain about flat towing. I'm very much hoping that our meeting with Pickup4Ukraine today will help us do two things:
1) purchase the vehicle during my stay in Germany
2) provide a butt for the driver's seat.
Our meeting is in 3 hours, so please cross your fingers, eyes, and legs that we can pull that off.

I like this a lot better than Olga's Revenge. I was trying to look up some possible patron saints for combat medics (etc) but wasn't having much luck.
Arctic Raven suggested Lesia (Ukrainika) which was also nice, as we could use quotes from her poetry. Nothing's stuck yet, and I can't help but think it's because we don't have the vehicle purchased yet.

I would LOVE a hand if you're in the area. Maybe we can use the time between now and then to turn you into a GRM mule or something... Lots to think on.
Willgrow and the number 3 (all one blob) @ the mail that starts with G is the paypal. GFM has me REALLY heated right now as it's been a week and we still can not accept donations to our kids Easter run. We may have to sing this one acapella, and just run with it on our own. I'll give it until the end of the day for GFM to unscrew itself before pulling that trigger.
so quick update on the temperature of things. This morning I attended the weekly "Ukraine Defense Support" meeting that's held in Seattle (I log on via zoom). Normally the meetings run an hour for a presentation, followed by an hour of social time or political action (calling reps, etc). Every week we get one or two new faces and they stand up and introduce themselves.
Today there were so many new people in attendance that it took over an hour to introduce the new faces... The gathering was so large that they're talking about moving it from the restaurant to a Ukrainian church in the area.
Some info from their page for anyone interested or in the area.
