Since we're at Mandalay and about as far south as you can get, what's the best way to get around? The closest monorail looks like a 4 block walk. Bus? Uber?
You can take the Mandalay/Luxor/Excalibur tram to the Excalibur. That makes for a short walk across the intersection at Tropicana and LV Blvd (aka The Strip) to MGM, where you can pick up the monorail.
We just walked or took taxis. Friends went recently and Ubered everywhere.
Tropicana to Linq was probably my longest hike.

Drive near the airforce base on the highway, just a few miles down the road. Park the car and just watch.
Hash House a Go Go for breakfast
I was just there for the second time. I didn't gamble either time. Go to my instagram @joey48442 and see all my pics from hiking and such
Last time there we stopped in to Counts Kustoms, it was interesting.
If you like seafood, make the seafood buffet at the Rio.
The Atomic Testing Museum is a cool place to spend a couple hours.
You can pick up a nifty metal Fallout Shelter sign for your garage or man cave or whatever in the gift shop

I live in a busy Air Force town. No need to planespot while travelling!

One item from my Vegas trip.
I am fairly apathetic to people's clothing normally, but you won't catch me in a Hooters out of principle.
That said, I left for the site I was at around 4 or 5 AM, everyone at the only place open for breakfast made Hooters look like a church.

You weren't trying very hard. I could take you to 57 places that are open for breakfast at 4am that are full of people ready to go to work.

Oh they were ready for work, but they were barely dressed. I got fed, but did a lot of staring out the window.

I don't think anyone here practices automotive monogamy.

The pinball museum looks really awesome.
On Pawn Stars, they sometimes called in the head of the Clark County Museum for insight on some historical items. This looks like a fascinating place:
