Mannish Boy
I'm a big Blues fan ... old school through to contemporary. I've had the privilege of seeing many of the fifties and sixties era Chicago blues greats perform locally, mostly at the now defunct Last Call Saloon in Providence, and still alive Chan's in Woonsocket. But I never saw Muddy perform. Pity.
"I can make love to you Honey, in five minutes time."
What a man
Wang Dang Doodle
I was fortunate to have seen her perform live at The Last Call Saloon in Providence, RI back in the early nineties.
So this evening we were a our local pub having a few pops. A stranger asked our friend Kim the bartender "what's your name." So in response, I said quietly to Annie "who's your Daddy ... is he rich, is he rich like me?" So then somebody next to us (who we know as bar friends) only heard the last part of my private conversation with Annie, misinterpreted it, and gave me an odd look. So I had to explain. Anyway, this is one of my all-time favorite songs:
One of my favorite Youtube people. He's honest, sincere, and a great down-to-earth personality. He covers a topic I enjoy: campfire cooking.
It's Important to Get the Priorities Straight
"There's a story behind that ... yeah, there is ... oh man, but I ain't tellin'."
This acoustic performance of Cigarettes & Saints by The Wonder Years. I'm not crying, you're crying.
Dan Fogelberg - Leader of the Band
Our local pub streams Sirius XM. I'm not sure what channel this was tonight, maybe The Bridge. But I really like the late great Dan Fogelberg, and this song in particular. It was playing while we were there tonight. Odd that this song was in my head today, and then it popped up on the soundtrack at Bill's.
Back in the seventies I thought these lyrics were deeply philosophical. Today, they're not nearly as deep as I thought then ... maybe just more nostalgic.

It's good background noise but nothing that a crowd would request to hear at a concert. One thumb up.
