I have a new to me 2005 e320 cdi, that I am planning to use the engine and transmission to swap into my 190e.
I am getting a stand alone tune for the engine ecu, however I don't know about getting the transmission to work outside of the e320. So I want to get a code reader that can talk to all the sensors, and also get some wiring diagrams to help me with this swap.
I keep seeing reference to the star system with Mercedes and code readers. Anyone have a recommendation on which code reader to get that is compatible with the star system?
Also I want to take a look at the wiring diagrams, is there a place that is safe to buy and download these?
I keep seeing references to people talk about getting viruses downloaded when they try to download a wis off eBay.
