We are in complete agreement on the last paragraph.
Despite hanging on, and being miserable, this has been relatively mild. Since I can (usually) avoid people, this had def. not been anything I've needed to take ANY kind of meds for! I have zero doubt if I'm contagious, despite being well outside the numbers mentioned in guidance. I feel, (just based on the several hundred folks in "my " sample - I know... too small!) many folks are still contagious, long after the "people in charge" say they are.
Glad yours is starting mild, and hope it stays short, as well!

I just decided to take a second pass at brushing my teeth (I didn't really think about why) and noticed that my tooth brush tasted weird (that's funny, it's only like one week old) pitched it in the trash and got a new one and it tested weird too. Hahaha, that's right, COVID messes up your taste and smell.
Anyway, you'll be glad to know that the big guy that was pressing me to fly on August 1st has come around and is now asking me to fly on August 8th; safe and reasonable for all.

Just called one of the nurses that has gotten positive results from new tests.
Actually admin. at nursing homes for many years now, but with an IQ of 161, on a legit test, she is one sharp cookie! High iq, and still has down to earth sense. Rare combo.
Anyway, her one bout with it a long wile ago, she told me she woke up one morning, feeling bad (she was blessed it stayed fairly mild, too). She went to kitchen, got out a jar of hot pickles, and stuck her face on it! Couldn't smell a thing! Yep, that answers that. Called in. 
my taste is worse today, but still no smell problems.
BTW, thanks for your patience with me... I'm easy to misinterpret... I'm not saying I know the truth, and everyone else is lying. Just stating that my experiences, and most I know, (admittedly small sub set) have been way different that what I hear.
