Hi guys. I'm looking for some help or guidance here.
I've got a 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T wagon that I love. (I realize that this is an issue in itself). Anyhow, I ran into an issue with it that requires a Tech2 to either diagnose a different issue or to re-marry the steering lock module. I've called around to the local shops and nobody still has a working Tech2 with the Candi module and/or the Saab memory card.
My options that I am aware of are: take it to a Saab specialist about an hour away and let them do it; buy a knock off Tech2 from China and cross my fingers; continue using my cobbled together immobilizer bypass.
Does anyone have a Tech2 they would rent to me, or some other solution? I have looked into the VXDiag products, but they don't have great reviews for Saab use.
I have a Tech2 clone, Ive only used it on OG 9-5s. I'm not familiar with the candi module, but it's been able to do everything I need for my cars to date - havent needed to do anything with security yet though.
You're welcome to swing by and give it a go next weekend. I'm in Medina.
