- We should talk about potential next season cars, and if a LS powered Volvo is a possibility.
Can you make that a 4.8L Vortec (kind of an LS) with a turbo that spins to 8K? Because maybe this is a build idea I had for a challenge car may years ago? LOL

What software version are you talking about Pro? The one you showed me a while ago that I need to actually learn how to use?
the same
Ok I think I need to hunker down and sort that out.
Congratulations to Colin for another season win!!!!
Great racing last night!! Racebrick you were much better than I at this track. I think I was over driving the car trying to catch you but that just made me slower.
I have the mix of GT type cars up on the server. We can swap it around to other GT cars. As I have more of these.
We can also test anything else that people want. Just let me know so I can set the server up.
Apologies to those I bumped last night. I had the elbows out trying to catch Racebrick.
The bump and run/crash with Pro was a weird one. To me it was like you suddenly slowed in the corner. The replay showed a weird studder.
Does this game have what I have seen referred to as Netcode? The software the predicts where you are on track relative to other car in an effort to make up for lag?
All multiplayer games like this have netcode, but the quality of it varies. Its just a blanket term
Here's a series proposal: Open wheelers.
2 weeks per car, so you have a little more time to get accustomed to each, a different track each week, and the cars get faster when they change.
All the practice you want: Qualy, and 2x 15min sprint races with inverted grid 2nd race, same as normal.
Not sure whether penalty weight should carry forward when the cars switch or not.
Week 1: Skip Barber F2000 Regional @ Atlanta Motorsports Park
Week 2: Skip Barber F2000 Regional @ Blackwood GP
Week 3: Tatuus FA01 @ COTA
Week 4:Tatuus FA01 @ Donnington Park
Week 5: Dallara F317 @ Imola
Week 6: Dallara F317 @ Montreal Circuit GIlles Villinueve
Week 7: Formula Agile @ VIR
Week 8:Formula Agile @ Barcelona GP
Week 9: Lotus Exos @ Road America
Week 10: Lotus Exos @ Mugello
Week 11: Indy Car @ Daytona Oval as a one off finale.
We haven't done many open wheel cars, so that could certainly be interesting.
Forgot to post the final results:

I like it!!
I would want to test some of them but I like it.
I say the HC should carry forward. It will also be back to the original 30 kg for each HC level. Also as the cars get faster the HC will have a bit lesser impact on acceleration as the power to weight ratio will be less affected.
In reply to dean1484 :
But how will the cornering be affected, and how will the tires take it?
You're probably right though.
Skip Barber F2000: In folder - 131 hp - 557kg
Tatuus FA01: Kunos car - 198hp - 455kg (only 5 liveries)
Dallara F317 (RSR Formula 3): In folder - 246hp - 550kg (310hp F310 also available)
Formula Agile: In folder - 365hp - 410kg (6 liveries)
Lotus Exos: Kunos car - 640kg - 660kg (750hp version also available) (only 3 liveries in low power version)
IndyCar: In folder - 618hp - 791kg
The Lotus Super 7 is also in the folder. We probably should at least give it a try. I am pretty certain it is not nearly as goofy as the PC2 version (100lb flywheel)
I feel like open wheel cars are not as fun to race, because any contact is terminal.
Kind of unfortunately I am pretty sure AC does not simulate tire launches. We can certainly try though
Yeah I think it just has a collision box. No calculation of tire to tire impact
There may be some server outages tomorrow as I will be swapping some hardware around to condense down to a single machine and up the size of the HD capacity and double the ram.
I went to put the open-wheel cars on the server and the folder on Google drive appears to be empty. If someone can make a folder on their computer with all the cars in it and then zip it up that would be helpful.
I made a folder on the Google drive that has all the cars in it for tonight. I have set up two presets on the server each with 24 cars in it (8 cars for three brands) so we can change over from one server to another quickly so hopefully, we can get a lot of testing in and you all won't be waiting for me to set up a server.
The servers are using Kunos tracks so we should not have an issue with people needing to upload tracks tonight.
I put some slower cars up on the server. A couple Miata's and a 86. Mostly because Sauce and I were working with a new driver getting them up to speed but I ended up leaving them there as the box standard Miata was so much fun to drive. I kind of liked it better than the Cup car.
What is the plan for this week? Any ideas?
Sounds like boring ass NA miatas :)
Also the SSC car I posted in discord looks fun

Anyone want to play GT7?
Is that the new one that is comming out?
Last night was good fun. The time delay races led to some really close finishes. I forgot how fun those races can be.
I put up a bunch of cars after everyone signed off last night we can play with. For the moment I have been using all kunos tracks and cars to keep things a bit simpler.

It came out about a year ago? It added back in tuning. There was some controversy about them changing how you could generate credits and such. I am not sure if I will pick up a version when the price drops (looks like it's down to maybe $30 for PS4). I don't know if my wheel with the adapter that worked for GT6 will work for it though (G27, only the G29 plus are shown as supported, so maybe, since that sounds like that last one)
Along those line, the racing last night was rather reminiscent of some of the GT racing we used to do, with the wide variety of cars (in this case WIDE variety).
