The curbs are fine, but where people might shortcut corners they put in Dukes of Hazard jumps.

Spool, if you have the downforce, spring rates and anti roll bars set where you like them and are still having snap oversteer other than slowing down a bit, I think you need to mess with the LSD preload and ramp settings. Weaken the power ramp setting and raise the preload a bit and see how that feels. I played around with these a bit this morning and little changes can make a night and day difference in some corners.
I tried the Ferrari and that is a dream to drive out of the box compared to some of the other cars. Try the Cadillac if you want snap oversteer. The Ferrari is positively easy to catch compared to the Cadi. The Ferrari was a bit snappy at the limits but you just have to stay in front of it more.
If I had tried that car before the season had started I would probably be driving that.
The Ferrari was my second choice and one of 3 cars that seemed close to driveable with the default setup.
I'm bummed I'll miss out on Monza. Brad do you live stream the race on Twitch? If so, how do I find it I'm subscribed to your Youtube channel
In reply to T.J. :
I usually don’t live stream because I’m hosting and I don’t want to chance it interfering with the race (lag/disconnects/etc).
My twitch is: https://m.twitch.tv/bradltl
Any of the other guys should be able to stream. I know Argo has a twitch as well.
I do have a Twitch but won't be at Monza as well. I will watch the replay when Brad posts it which is usually an hour or so after the race.
I sent Spool a Ferrari setup with the evil snap oversteer and uncatchable spin tuned out of it. In stock tune that Ferrari is great fun up to about 9.7/ 10's -then death.
Air, the Stig is currently running laps around Monza in your GT3R using his powers of mental telepathy to tune the car. He wants to know if you want the stable/ raceable tune or the all-out performance tune? Currently, the Soccer Mom tune is running upper 48's.
Argo
if you are board and want to try tuning a Bentley (I am using the 2015) Or if you could ask the Stig nicely for me. I would be interested to see what you .... . the Stig can come up with compared to what I am running. I would be interested in trying what the Stig comes up with for a tune.
The best I have so far is a 1:50. So after seeing Sauce’s times and now the ones you posted for the 911 I am thinking I need help.
In reply to dean1484 :
OK. Time out Dean. Didn't you actually beat me last week? Actually, I'm about out of time. We're doing a PCA event tomorrow and then I leave for Seattle Monday.
That is ok have fun. I am sure the Stig will not be able to resist the temptation of messing with the Bentley
Air
I messed with the 911 and with the following tune I am a full second faster than the Bentley. I find it very stable. I had no issues with snap oversteer.

The Bentley sounds like a WW2 warbird. Don't tune that part out.
Yep. The engin sound was a big reason for going with that car.
Anyone around tonight want to run laps? Or a mock race? I can not really do much tomorrow night as I have to be up really early Monday
I've figured out why the Merc is so difficult, it doesn't have enough suspension travel. Even at the highest ride height with the stiffest springs (and shocks valved to match) it bottoms out, and it doesn't even need to be over curbs, turns like the right hander leading onto the back straight at Monza are enough. The default setup tries to band-aid this by running stupidly big sway bars, but then the wheels don't move independently so you get weird kart type tendencies at times.
I have a reasonable tune in it at this point and it's definitely quick, but it's still a handful, tough to be consistent with, and a bit frustrating. Brad's addendum to the rules states that you aren't committed to a car until you have driven a scoring round, so I might try a couple of the cars no one is using yet and see if there's something less annoying to drive/tune.
In reply to e30Matt :
You are not car committed. That’s impressive work and a damn shame. That AMG would be quick if it didn’t go bat s#!* every third corner.
In reply to e30Matt :
I really liked the NSX. I went with the Audi over it because I liked the engine sound better. Not sure how it stacks up on overall pace, but it's at least one to check out.
I wonder if the Cadillac has the same issue. That car was fast. Faster than the Bentley but I could not tame the suspension in it. Sauce if you can tame the Cadillac it is A very fast car.
dean1484 said:How did you figure that out?
One of the HUD layouts has suspension travel, if it goes red you're either out of damping or out of travel. After a couple hours of only trying to make it not go red using the suspension calculator and trial and error I came to the conclusion that it has to be a lack of travel.
That said, other people have been able to make the car function so maybe there's a work around. Before giving up completely I'm going to try to find some tunes online and see if that helps.
