Its an i6 (d-jet mechanical efi), 4spd manual, double wishbone up front and swing axle in the butt. No LSD but I believe all 72 4.5 have LSDs so swap from one of those.
Ultimately I'd love a 3.2 m104 i6 swap or a 4.2/5.0 m113 v8. Gotta get some fab skills first.
Holy cow that's awesome. Down to help if I can. That's so cool.
So the car is mine... but I have nowhere to keep it lol
It may be time to schedule a thrash on a protege parts car in Dundalk then, which would allow for a certain 323 to head back across the bay potentially opening up a spot.

Explain lol

I am working on getting some indoor storage and access with the ability to work on them in the Waverly neighborhood of Baltimore. However I suspect that it will not be available until May or June.
Whatever happened with this?
Anyone wrenching on anything fun? Nothing really to do on my car right now...
In reply to yupididit :
Any progress on that project? Looks like it could be fun.
In reply to CoolUserName :
Still haven't found anywhere to keep it lol.
Also, hoping to start it once I get my XJR sold.

Sadly the building structure was a mess and would've been a tear down with only the foundation useable.
In reply to Captdownshift (Forum Supporter) :
Darn. Finding a place for my cars is so hard in this area. I want to ship my 190e here from Texas too.
Anyone have any leads on places? I need to keep 2 w108 Mercedes with space to work on them.
I'm blanking on leads, but will likely be up for hosting a pre-challenge thrash session that will include new motor mounts, new fuel system (complete with tank, lines, injectors and rail) , a Prius steering column EPS, and front lower arms sometime this coming month. It will likely occur in Hanover, PA

Depending on my back and hands, I'd be interested in coming to help out.
As far as a place for my cars, its looking like a lost cause. Hoping I can buying something around January.
Potentially looking at this place and hopefully others. PM me if you're interested in splitting.

That's a great location for people who frequent Summit and are close enough to sneak over there on non race weekends
In reply to Captdownshift (Forum Supporter) :
I agree. I was going to choose a place that is right next to Summit that I mentioned earlier in the thread but it looks like the owner is selling his buildings (I don't blame him).
last min request. Anyone have a trailer I could rent with a winch for this weekend? Moving my Mercedes to my residence.

No winch but have a trailer that could be borrowed.
so much good canoeing in the rose and laura areas of the midlantic
Well gosh, this thread has been around for over a year and I just found it. How do I join the fun? I'm near the end of 795. When can I start showing up at places, offer bad ideas and slow things down, all while I think I'm actually helping? (Actually, my skills are at least moderate, I have a decent tool collection, a truck, and some storage space)

You have a grand prix, if it's not supercharged, I have an mp62 and MP90 that should work on it.
Yeah, so, my Grand Prix is a '77, low mileage and original, so that might not be the way to go.
In reply to Uncle David (Forum Supporter) :
Yeah, I was thinking a much later grand prix. Yours is much cooler and that would be ruining it.
I am also in the DMV area, near Westminster. If there is an event that I can make it to, I'd be down.
