Maybe calling the Goodwood Festival of Speed “a garden party, but with race cars,” is a bit of an oversimplification, but how else can you succinctly describe everything the annual celebration has to offer?
After all, the Festival of Speed is the place to be if you want to experience iconic vintage race cars, the latest and greatest street machines, motorsport heroes from around the world and the chance to see it all up close and at speed–and that’s just scratching the surface.

Set for July 11-14, the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed has chosen MG as the Central Feature, a fitting distinction as the brand celebrates 100 years.
Six Formula 1 teams–BWT Alpine, Scuderia Ferrari HP, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Williams Racing–are on the docket to attend the Festival of Speed, with several drivers making runs in current and historic F1 race cars.

In addition to Land Rover, BMW, BYD, Yangwang and several other manufacturers showcasing some of their latest and greatest projects, Red Bull Advanced Technologies will debut its RB17 Hypercar, the road-going supercar designed by Red Bull Racing’s Group Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey.
And, of course, the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed is tied together by the iconic hillclimb, the centerpiece of the party that will see some of the fastest drivers and machines try to break the 39.081 time set by Max Chilton in the all-electric McMurtry Spéirling back in 2022.
