Potentially one of the most iconic performance cars ever built, the first-generation M3 solidified BMW’s M Division on the map as the go-to source for the some of the best sports machines money could buy.
This 1988 example is no different, and looks very clean with a little over 94,000 kilometers (roughly 58,400 miles) on the odometer.
Speaking of kilometers, this M3 is a European-spec model, meaning that it made a few more horsepower out of its 2.0-liter S14 inline-four engine than its catalytic converter-equipped U.S.-spec cousin.
Finished in Diamond Black Metallic over a gray interior with plaid seat inserts, this 1988 BMW M3 is going across the block at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Open Roads, March auction, with an expected selling price of 80,000-90,000 Euros (approximately $95,600-$107,500).
