The McLaren Speedtail may be one of the most modern and technologically advanced supercars available, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t share some heritage from the prestige brand.
Specifically, the Speedtail takes influences from the iconic F1, such as the three-seat layout that sits the driver in the center of the car, as well as being constructed from a carbon-fiber tub. Unlike the F1, however, the Speedtail trades a V12 for a hybrid-backed, twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant and makes use of active aerodynamics.
This 2020 McLaren Speedtail is one such example of the exclusive—only 106 were built—supercar.
Rated for 1035 horsepower (750 of which come from the twin-turbo V8), the Speedtail is said to be capable of a top speed of 205 mph. As well, the listing reports that this McLaren received a number of optional equipment from McLarens Special Operations
Find this 2020 McLaren Speedtail going up for auction at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Arizona sale, with an expected selling price of $3,500,000 and $4,500,000.
