First seen in the United States at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Series 2 Lotus Exige was presented as the more serious, track-ready version of the already sporty Elise. Like the Elise, the Exige was powered by a Toyota-sourced four-cylinder engine that was good for around 190 horsepower. The later Exige S bumped that figure beyond 200 horsepower thanks to a supercharger.
A number of Exige models were produced over the car’s lifetime, though this 2010 Lotus Exige S 260 is one of the last Series 2 examples ever built. It's perhaps the most potent as well, with a reported 257 horsepower on tap.
This S 260 is also one of 30 examples ever built and reportedly has a mere 18,500 miles on the odometer.
Finished in Quartz Silver over a red-and-black interior, this final-edition Exige features factory-equipped Öhlin shocks, forged alloy wheels, Advan tires and a number of carbon-fiber panels.
