Car Catcher: A Recently Sorted Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale

The aerodynamic knowledge gained from the B.A.T. show cars would go on to influence the design of the Giulietta Sprint Speciale, which in itself quickly became Alfa Romeo’s halo car.

Only 1366 cars were built during the 1959-'66 product run. Early models received a 750cc engine with later models getting a 1300cc unit.

This 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale is a later 1300cc-equipped model, finished in red over a black leather interior.

Originally sold to an Italian business owner living in Columbia, the Giulietta is noted as spending the past 25 years “in a climate controlled four-story parking facility in Bogota” as part of a private collection.

Before being acquired by the seller, the Alfa Romeo received “approximately $8,600.00 worth of work” from Berkeley, California-based Alfa Romeo specialist Conrad Stevenson that included the replacement of a number of fresh seals, gaskets, lines and spark plugs in December 2020.

Find this 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale for sale through Fantasy Junction for $125,000.
