Saw a slant nose RUF today at MECUM.
Something for those who pored over the big buff books in the ’80s: a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera fitted with a RUF 3.4-liter engine backed by one of the firm’s five-speed gearboxes. At 1.1 bar of boost, it’s said to crank out 401 horsepower–about double that of the stock 3.2-liter Carrera donor car.
Then there’s the yellow paint–so much yellow paint–paired with a Rubystone interior.
To duplicate the car, says the house, would take more than $200,000. What will it fetch? Find out at Russo and Steele’s upcoming Scottsdale sale. Find more details here.
