The 4/4 not only served as the first four-wheeled vehicle sold by Morgan, but it would also go on to be one of the longest-produced cars ever made: built from 1936 until 2019.
This 1951 Morgan 4/4, a lesser-seen Series I Drophead Coupe, is said to be particularly rare as it is "one of approximately 117 Flat-Radiator Drophead Coupes produced."
What makes the Drophead Coupe different than the open-top 4/4s is a different folding top and fixed window frames attached to the doors.
Power in the later Series I cars like this Morgan comes from a 1267cc Standard engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission.
The listing notes that the 4/4 is the result of an older restoration, though is said to have been recently serviced with new tires and rebuild of the braking system.
As well, the car is believed to have been sold new in Switzerland, but has "spent most of its life here in the United States."
