Car Catcher: A Sunbeam Tiger Known as the “Monster”

Sponsored article presented by Fantasy Junction.

Although the Cobra tends to hog the limelight as Shelby's iconic V8-powered sports car, the Sunbeam Tiger has also established itself as a serious contender.

Perhaps one of the best examples of the Tiger's capabilities is this 1966 Sunbeam Tiger race car once owned by Alan Fraser.

Known as the "Monster," this race-prepped Tiger is said to have quickly made a name for itself thanks to it tuned Ford 260 V8 and the aluminum body panels.

The car was restored to a "high standard" starting back in 1998, with the Tiger participating in vintage races in the early 2000s.

Currently, the car is reported to be equipped with a 509-horsepower V8 built by Tony Oddo, and was last raced at Sonoma back in 2017.
