Although originally launched in Europe in 1980, North America wouldn’t get the iconic Audi Quattro until three years later.
This 1983 Audi Quattro is one of those first North American models, originally one of only 61 examples imported into Canada for that model year.
Normally powered by the 2.1-liter WX engine, this Ur-Quattro features the more powerful 2.2-liter MC1 powerplant that was swapped in as part of a comprehensive restoration in the early ‘90s.
Find this 1983 Audi Quattro available from Fantasy Junction, who plans to auction the car off on Bring a Trailer with no reserve later this month.

Totally yes--cool car.
A friend in school had an Audi GT--also cool. But then it broke down on the way back from Road Atlanta and we had to hitch a ride in the back of a pickup to the nearest pay phone. Still, cool car. (Turns out the timing belt had just been replaced and someone forgot to tighten something.)
