Morgan confirms next-generation Three Wheeler

Morgan made a name for itself with models like the +4 and 4/4, but it’s the carmaker’s three-wheeled offerings (built to avoid the higher taxes applied to automobiles versus those for motorcycles) that helped get it off the ground.

Fitting, then, that Morgan has announced the next-generation Three Wheeler. The new model does not have an official name yet, but Morgan has confirmed that it will be powered by “an inline three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from Ford.”

The release also notes that the styling will ensure that “the new model will be instantly recognisable from its predecessors” with a design language “inspired by the early jet age.”

The current-generation Three Wheeler originally went on sale in 2011, with orders concluding at the beginning of this year. No word yet on when we can expect the new version to be available.

Excited to see a new Three Wheeler on the way, or is this Morgan model past its prime?

I hope the "burro bumpers" around the grille are a disquise.  The cockpit looks wider than on the last one.  I have a Seven, so I apprciate any vehicle that is just for fum.  Thumbs up.

Morgan's are cool cars and I totally respect the history but I've never driven a 3 wheeled vehicle that I liked.

The Aero Supersport is just the most random and fantastic design - despite having 4 wheels.
