Not sure it make the Concours d'Cancelation, but I would not kick her out of my garage.
According to the owner, this 1963 Shelby Cobra—CSX2125—is the last MkI to be equipped with a worm-and-sector steering box instead of the rack-and-pinion setup found on later models. Under the hood, this Cobra is powered by a Ford 289 V8 backed by a Borg Warner T10 transmission. And there’s the rare color: Metaline Blue.
Said to have been “meticulously restored to original specifications” in 2019, this MkI is also reported to have been owned by movie producer Ned Tanen for some 20 years and was signed by Carroll Shelby.
The big question: Does an early model Cobra finished in a rare color have what it takes to take a spot in the Concours d’Cancelation Presented by Hagerty?
