John Kraman, the unmistakable voice of Mecum Auctions since its television debut in 2008, passed on January 12. He was 68.
Better known as “The Professor” for his extensive knowledge of classic cars and motorcycles, John was also a self-taught guitarist who even served as the frontman for a few local bands in his hometown of Rockford, Illinois.
Most of those who met John remember him for his contagious enthusiasm and energy, as well as his willingness to engage in conversations.
John is survived by his wife, Christine, his three sisters, three children and six grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for John is scheduled for January 24, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in Rockford.
