McLaren is celebrating the 50th anniversary of earning its first Formula 1 World championship. Part of those celebrations involves bringing the winning McLaren M23 car driven by Emerson Fittipaldi to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on August 16.

In 1974, McLaren team set a number of other records in F1, too. Fittipaldi became the youngest driver to earn a Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship at the time. McLaren also scored its first World Constructors’ Championship. Since then, McLaren has won 12 drivers’ championships and eight constructors’ titles.

Joining the M23 will be a special edition McLaren 750S. It’s one of six to carry the 3-7-59 livery that honors McLaren winning the triple crown of motorsport: the 1974 Indianapolis 500, the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix and the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In addition to the M23 and 750S, there’s also a McLaren Senna making its North American debut. It has a Senna Sempre Livery that features hand-painted artwork. Two Formula 1 cars driven by Ayrton Senna will join it.

Lastly, see an example of the cars that will race during the inaugural McLaren Trophy America championship next year.

All of this can be found at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week.
