I'm honestly kind of disappointed they put the Cobra body on it. i would've liked to see it stay as the unique thing that it was. But, still a car with a very interesting story.
This Cobra was originally constructed as a “show chassis” for Shelby American. In 1965, Shelby himself sent the chassis to Cal Automotive for a T-Bucket roadster body. “Finding the experience less than expected, Shelby simply left the finished car with Collins at Cal Automotive,” Fantasy Junction’s listing states. “Collins retained the car despite, according to Shelby, having never paid for the show chassis.” In 1995, the chassis finally received Cobra bodywork.
