Flash in the pan and the audience for BAT Is a slightly higher clientele In my opinion

This wonderful example of a 1959 Triumph TR3A recently sold for $36,526 over on Bring a Trailer.
Our friends over at Hagerty value a Triumph TR3A in #1 condition at $40,000, with prices averaging around $18,000 overall. While this example is certainly well-presented, certain things like the tires would keep it from being considered concours.
So, was the TR3A well-bought, signaling an upward trend in the market, or is this just flash in the pan for a really nice example?
Let us know what you think.

Well, Mecum has this TR3A going across the block at Monterey with an estimate very near what this example went for. I'd argue that this one is a #1, so we shall see what it goes for.
